Books 4 through 6 are Amanda and Dalhu’s story and must be read in order. In these installations readers will learn more about the history of these two remaining clans of immortals, will get more intimate with the Goddess and her family and will eventually get hints about what’s to come.
The audible edition is once again left in the capable voice of Charles Lawrence’s deep, sexy, satisfying baritone who expertly gives readers a deeper experience by intoning the emotions vocally and does a fantastic job portraying each and every character, human, immortal, male and female.
SUMMARY:

Dalhu and Amanda get to know each other while he holds her captive in the mountain cabin, and while Amanda finds that Dalhu is willing to go to extreme lengths to please her, she is not ready to accept an enemy as a lover. But the chemistry between them is sizzling hot. They both realize that nothing they'd experienced with mortals compares.
As Syssi waits for the rescues team's return, she realizes that she doesn't really know the man she had fallen in love with, but she is not deterred by the darkness she'd glimpsed in Kian. Kian's dark side surfaces as his hatred for the Doomers boils, and he is set to kill Amanda's kidnaper in the most vicious way possible.
I was so glad that Syssi and Kian still play a major part in this new chapter of the saga. There are still many issues unresolved between them and I'm curious to see their relationship develop.
Dalhu and Amanda are both wonderfully flawed individuals, but they're almost perfect for one another, except in all the ways that they're not. Andrew is still a contender for Amanda's heart, and she is facing a hard decision of choosing between the two.
I'm loving this series so much! Kian and his Cici are perfect together. And I look forward to Amanda and Dahlu's adventures as well. So on to the next installment.
There is more than meets the eye to Amanda. On the surface she appears shallow and spoiled but on the inside she hides a deep wound. Her dramatic behavior and outward appearance are the shields she puts up against getting hurt again. If she can't feel, she can't get hurt.
Dalhu is in love with the idea of having an immortal woman of his own, not any immortal woman, a beautiful professor. For an uneducated mercenary getting his hands on so one like her is the ultimate catch.
For first time in a few years, I read until book ended on a work night. Amanda's story is good and reminds you that just because people are from certain areas that they are not all the same. If you liked Laurel k Hamilton original Anita blake, in blue moon, you will like this.
Amanda’s story is different from any other in this series. She is a princess among the others. After all she is An Nani’s youngest daughter and Kian’s baby sister, but she has fallen for an enemy. Dalhu is a torture soul, filled with guilt and regret for not being able to save his mother and sister. He has buried the love and tenderness he learned at their hands during his childhood deep inside himself. Now with Amanda he has a chance to share those beautiful feelings with someone else. Until the next one...
I love Amanda. She is smart, outrageous, courageous, and lustful. Reading Dark Stranger I suspected that there was more to Dalhu and I wasn't disappointed. He turns out to be a guy that is worth considering despite his dark past. The new bad guy is a different and interesting kind of antagonist. He appears charming while being unapologetically cruel and sadistic, and unlike Dalhu he is a devoted and loyal Doomer. This fourth part was really fast paced and as expected it was very sensual. I finished it in one marathon sitting and immediately moved on to the next one.
I have read all of the currently published “Children of the Gods” series. I’m waiting anxiously for the next installment to come out! I have thoroughly enjoyed the series so far! I’m not a fan of romance novels and don’t particularly like racy, sexual exploits, unless they bring something to the storyline. This series has it all, and it didn’t phase me at all negatively - in fact, it all seemed to belong and enhance the story.
How the author kept all of the storylines straight, through so many volumes - is nothing short of mind blowing! There are so many characters, each with a fully-formed, and fleshed-out (no pun intended) story of their own.
I have recommended this series to all of my friends - which I don’t do very often.
I’m not looking forward to the end of the series, but I know it’s inevitable.
